When you go Game Fishing on the Gold Coast you will be very surprised as to what you can hook up.

On numerous occasions I have found myself sitting in the game fishing seat watching my lure cut through the second and third window of the boats wake.

Thinking that nothing is going to happen then all of a sudden all hell breaks loose and  I am on, with a quick snap of the lure and I am doing battle with a 200lb to 400lb monster a Blue Marlin. 

The adrenalin kicks in and your reel starts to spool at an incredible speed, my first reaction is oh shit what now.

Then the deck hand lends some advice, apply some drag he yells, then the skipper throws the game boat into reverse and the noise of the massive engines gets me pumped even more. Then with all my might I begin pump and wind and before long this big beautiful giant of the ocean surfaces and with a thrust of his tail he begins doing a dance across the top of the water, how awesome is this I begin to scream out. He throws his head from side to side trying to shake the lure from his mouth, but the more he tries the more he becomes exhausted. 

After more than 2 hours I finally bring this big beautiful beast to the back of the boat, I bent down and gave him a look his eye connects with mine and with a mark of respect I give him a rub, I then tag him, then I set him free.

This big fella gets to fight another day.

Wow!!! what fun what excitement, the adrenalin ran right through my body from the hook-up to the tag and release, hours latter and I am still pumped, I know game fishing will become more than a passion.
